Bollington
2 Rooms, 4 Guests
Breakfast
A traditional stone cottage in the heart of Bollington with two lovely guest rooms and new for this year, the secluded chimney pots cabin.
We live in a very quiet pleasant area on the edge of the village. We are in walking distance of several pubs and restaurants. The canal and the Middlewood way are easily accessible for traffic free walking or cycling. For the more adventurous the Gritstone trail passes through the surrounding countryside. The village is in a valley overlooked on one side by White Nancy, a local folly, said to have been built to commemorate the battle of Waterloo, and on the other side by Nab Head, from the top of which are spectacular views.

Cottage
Wood-Dagger Cottage was built in the late 19th century. A traditional stone cottage, it would have been used for local quarry or mill workers.
In 2015 we decided to extend the cottage to the side. We added two en-suite double rooms, one over the new garage and the other over the extended kitchen which originally was very small.
We were now ready to welcome guests.

Rooms
This is one of two en-suite double rooms in a newly built extension to our home. The room has tea and coffee facilities and its own key. We have separate breakfast room. Full English breakfast included. There is garage space for safe storage of bikes, motorbikes and also off road parking.

The Area
We are situated on the edge of the Peak District. There are numerous walks from the cottage, a stroll through the village and along the canal to a hike up to White Nancy and along the ridge. It is a popular area for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists. Information is available on all activities and guiding can be arranged in advance.

Welcome to Chimney Pots!
Built by us in 2020, it sits behind the B & B, at roof height.
It is secluded and peaceful with beautiful views over the chimney pots of our very quiet road, to the open countryside surrounding us.
It is the outdoor camping life but with home comforts – a lovely warm, cosy, comfy bed, heating and a shower cubicle 2 steps away.
The cabin is self catering but we do supply a welcome pack to include basics and your first morning’s breakfast.
There is a garden area for your use only with a fire pit/barbecue.
A verandah means you can wrap up and sit outside and enjoy the view anytime.
This is a very tranquil space, perfect for couples to spend some time away to relax. Equally the perfect place for one person to have some “me time”.
There is no TV and Wi-fi reception is not very reliable but nice to leave all that behind for a few days.
